Desktop & offset printing
Everything from a hundred business cards off the desktop press to a full offset run with plates, formes and finishing. Which press a job belongs on is a costing question, not a preference — below a certain quantity offset is wasted money, and above it desktop is.
What the work involves
Choosing the press
Desktop or offset, decided by quantity, colours and stock rather than by habit.
Imposition and plates
Ups per sheet, formes per side and plate count planned before anything is quoted.
Finishing
Trimming, folding, scoring, lamination, binding — each with its own minimum charge.
